Vanilla Syrup
An easy homemade syrup that's ideal for coffee recipes
Yield: 1 cup
Materials
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar or use 1/2 granulated and 1/2 brown sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp vanilla (pure vanilla extract) or a whole vanilla bean (scrape the vanilla from the inside
Instructions
- Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan
- Slowly bring to a boil
- Boil 5-10 minutes - you now have a simple syrup
- Take the pan off the heat and add the vanilla
- Let it cool and pour it into a beautiful bottle
- You can refrigerate the syrup for at least a few weeks
