by Lu, Spillin’ the Beans
I don’t know about you, but I like a little inside information when I walk into a new coffee shop, whether a little Mom and Pop café or a national brand coffee roaster. So, I thought I’d whisper in your ear about the best coffee drink at Peet’s Coffee. That way, you’ll have a go-to – or just something new to try.

The Best Coffee Drink at Peet’s
Peet’s Coffee Variations
Compared to some competitors like Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, which has some exclusive drinks courtesy of its Ice Blended line, Peet’s is more traditional. You’ll find the standards, like the espresso, latte, mocha, macchiato, and frappe. However, Peet’s puts a little twist on some of their drinks, like turning a cappuccino into the Havana Cappuccino – the second-best coffee drink at Peet’s Coffee.
Runner-Up – Havana Cappuccino
It’s a delicious twist, and I recommend it for coffee drinkers who like a little extra sweetness than a traditional cappuccino provides. The sweetened condensed milk shines through, and you get a pleasant aftertaste from the cinnamon.
The Havana Cappuccino is an excellent pick, but it’s not my number-one drink at Peet’s. I’ll call it a close second. You might also appreciate the caramel macchiato and white chocolate mocha.

While the white chocolate mocha is also enticing, for my favorite, I went with a different cold variation. My pick for the best coffee drink at Peet’s Coffee is a cold brew drink called The Black Tie.
The Black Tie Cold Brew
It’s About the Sweetened Condensed Milk
I don’t think the description does it justice, as The Black Tie is smooth, creamy, and sweet enough without being over the top. I initially hesitated to try it because of the sweetened condensed milk, as I’m not a fan of sweet drinks. But I was pleasantly surprised. The Black Tie has a touch of sugary goodness. However, it’s unique because of the sweetened condensed milk instead of sugar syrup.
While it’s served in beautiful layers, I prefer to combine them. Otherwise, your first sip is almost exclusively the sweetened condensed milk.
If you’re looking for a refreshing cold brew drink that you can’t find just anywhere, I think you’ll agree that The Black Tie is the best coffee drink at Peet’s.
