Festive Spice Delight French Press Christmas Coffee
A unique holiday coffee recipe combining spices with coffee grounds in the French Press and topped with whipped cream

1 French Press coffee maker
at least 2 cup capacity
Materials
1/2
cup
coarsely ground high-quality coffee beans
medium-dark roast preferred
1
stick
cinnamon
2
pods
cardamom
1/4
tsp
ground nutmeg
1/4
tsp
vanilla extract
2
Tbsp
brown sugar (adjust to taste)

hot water - just below boiling
whipped cream and ground cinnamon for garnish
Instructions
If your coffee beans are whole, grind them coarsely for the French Press
Gently crush the cardamom pods to release their flavor
Put the coffee in the French Press
Add the cinnamon stick, cloves, crushed cardamom pods, ground nutmeg, cand vanilla to the coffee grounds
Sprinkle the brown sugar over the mixture
Pour a small amount of the near boiling water over the coffee and spice mixture in the French Press and let it sit for 30 seconds
Add the rest of the water
Gently stir the mixture with a wooden or plastic spoon (don't use metal)
Place the lid on the French Press and allow the coffee to steep for 4 minutes
Slowly press down on the plunger of the French Press to separate the grounds from the liquid
Pour the spiced coffee into a fun and festive mug
Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon (or a cinnamon stick)
